Attending the State of Transformation conferenceInsights
In May I attended the first of its kind the #StateofTransformation conference run by the #PSTA on public sector reform.
I attended the first public service state of transformation conference in May 2018. It was attended by leaders and managers in Local Authorities, the NHS, police, voluntary agencies, charities and of course, consultants and coaches who are trying to make a difference to citizen’s lives through the better delivery of public services.
The topic of integration between health and social care came up again and again throughout the day. I spoke about relationships and collaboration being the key to transformation.
It was an interesting discussion around whether relationships are easy or difficult for people to form and maintain in complex situations. One thing is for sure, we definitely need to dedicate some time for professionals to build trust and communication in order to collaborate better and deliver more joined up services for citizens.
